February 16, 2024, The Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Clinical Research Center, Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, in collaboration with the National Clinical Research Network (NCRN), hosted the visit to the Research and Development Center for Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products, including the Cell and Gene Therapy Manufacturing Center (CAGTMC) for research and treatment with CAR-T Cells by Koramit Suppipat,M.D. and Asst. Prof. Supannikar Tawinwung,Ph.D. and the Excellence Center for Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs) by Assoc. Prof. Tanom Bunaprasert,M.D. and Asst. Prof. Supansa Yodmuang,Ph.D. and team. The aim is to promote the development of advanced therapy medicinal products for actual use in patients.
The event was honored by Prof.Yingyos Avihingsanon,M.D., Deputy Director for Medical and Research Affairs, King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, as the opening chairman, and Ms. Worasuda Yoongthong, Director of the Medicines Regulation Division, Food and Drug Administration Thailand, who shared her knowledge on the guidelines for registration of advanced therapy medicinal products. This was a good opportunity for researchers, clinical research centers, ethics committees, and the Food and Drug Administration to exchange knowledge and learn from each other, leading to sustainable advanced technology development in the future.
